Five Worlds Share One Fate!
Shards
of Alara introduces five new worlds for Magic: The Gathering. Each of the five
shard worlds has its own unique creatures, cultures, and magic. Each incorporates
three colors of mana and is cut off from the other two.
Shards
of Alara is the first set in the Shards of Alara block, and is a return to the
traditional fantasy setting of classic Magic. This is a large set of 249 cards,
which will be followed by two small expansions in February and May of 2009.
Shards
of Alara will introduce a new rarity for magic: Mythic Rare. Booster packs and
Tournament packs will now contain land, commons, uncommons, and rares, with approximately
one out of every 8 rares replaced with a mythic rare card. There are 15 mythic
rare cards in Shards of Alara.
The Planeswalker
card type will return in Shards of Alara. Planeswalkers are the most powerful
beings in the multiverse. Planeswalker cards first appeared in the Lorwyn® expansion.
Shards of Alara will introduce several
new game mechanics. Each "Shard" has its own mechanic theme based on the world
setting.

Clone Wars brings Star Wars into a whole new diminsion. This groundbreaking animated
theatrical feature follows the untold story of Jedi Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan
Kenobi between episodes I and III. Topps has captured all
the exciting action of the Movie in this 90 card set. Look for Hobby exclusive
1/1 sketch cards from top Star Wars artists and LFL animators and Sequentially
numbered parallels (1:24). Also look for Animated Cel cards (1:6).
The
movie hits Theaters August 15th with TV episodes to follow this fall on cartoon
network.
